The compact J2 225 touchscreen computer has a sleek, modern appearance with a 14-inch, LED backlit and 16:9 wide aspect ratio screen that allows for a smaller overall physical footprint. Due to its reduced size and weight and its ability to flat-fold into a shipping carton the size of an average notebook computer, it is a versatile, cost-effective POS terminal. The unit comes in dark grey, and can be custom-ordered with a white base and/or colour bezel options.

The J2 225 includes a choice of a zero-bezel, five-wire resistive touchscreen or the multitouch projected capacitive touchscreen. Both are spill-proof and dust-proof. Made of tempered glass, the PCT has no known failure mode. Its reliability and durability suit it to high-use environments. It will work with most gloves and stylus compatible with tablet computers. The PCT touchscreen also provides multitouch and gesturing.
